In my estimation, I think “our” problem (I say ‘our’ for the sake of generality) is not that we don’t want the lost to be saved, but rather we don’t want to lose folks from our churches to neighboring congregations. Everyone that has lost a saint to a neighbor church has at least some slight tinge of apprehension when another church moves into “their” city. A larger issue is that of a lack of ministerial ethics, in these cases. Oh, there are more reasons, too… fear, inadequacy, slothfulness, history, and …

On June 1, 2009, Barack Obama made history yet again by proclaiming June as National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride month. This disgusting act of defiance against the will of the American people and against the word of God places this president in a terrifying position… and by proxy the country we live in.
God, help the United States of America.

Numbers 14 records the rebellion of the Hebrews against the promise of God.
The Lord gave out his punishment. Everyone 20 and older would die in the wilderness with exception of Joshua and Caleb.
A statement the Lord said jumped out at me. “and ye shall know my breach of promise”
What makes God break his contract?
A mistake…. nope
Sin…. nope
Lack of talent… nope
People not believing Him…. yep.
The children of Israel partially believed. They saw the evidence of “a land flowing with milk and honey”. Partial obedience is not enough.
We need to …

A Brickhouse Incinerator

I was conversing with a friend recently, discussing the issue of preachers among us walking away from holiness and Apostolic doctrine. He made the statement, “Their ‘revelation’ today is building a prison that their children will inhabit tomorrow.”
This statement brought to mind a sobering story heard recently.
Pastor Doug White, from Silsbee, Texas was approached by a father/son team in his church about a ‘job opportunity’ that was presented to them. The Dad is a foreman on large construction jobs, and he was given a proposal to manage a large project …

“Our Father, we are beginning to understand at last that the things that are wrong with our world are the sum total of all the things that are wrong with us as individuals. Thou has made us after Thine image, and our hearts can find no rest until they rest in Thee.
We are too Christian really to enjoy sinning and too fond of sinning really to enjoy Christianity. Most of us know perfectly well what we ought to do; our trouble is that we do not want to do it. …

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be inspired of God; the infallible Word of God. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
The Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses; therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and all instruction for the church must be based upon, and harmonize with, the Bible. It is to be read and studied by all men everywhere, and can only be clearly understood by those who are anointed by …

Prayer is the key that unlocks the stores of abundance and blessing. The secret of effectual prayer is belief. When we pray, we get not necessarily what we ask for but what we expect.
If we pray for some good thing, expecting its realization to be deferred, it will be.
If we pray for a thousand dollars, expecting only a hundred, we shall get only a hundred.
If we pray expecting a more satisfying answer than we can foresee, that too will be realized.
If we pray expecting immediate response, we shall get immediate …
