Some people’s religion is like a wooden leg. There is neither life nor warmth in it. Although it helps them hobble along, it never becomes part of them. It has to be strapped on every morning. Christianity is more than a creed to be believed, it is a life to be lived. It does no good until you put it in shoe leather.
