Archaeologist Eilat Mazar claims to have discovered what is likely King David’s palace.  If the discovery proves to be accurate, this would deal a fatal blow to those who claim David and/or a vast Davidic and Solomonic kingdom is a Jewish myth.
Dr. Eilat Mazar, world authority on Jerusalem’s past, has taken King David out of the pages of the Bible and put him back into living history. Mazar’s latest excavation in the City of David, in the southern shadow of the Temple Mount, has shaken up the archaeological world. For …

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life…Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Recently, the account was given about an ex-homosexual who testified at a church service.
Her words were to this effect, “If you think you can’t stop being homosexual because you were ‘born that way‘, why don’t you get baptized and be ‘born again‘ in Jesus’ name, and stop being homosexual!”
What a profound retort to the common excuse coming from the perverted. There is hope for those who claim to be, “born that way”… just be “born again!”

John 4:4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
This is probably one of my favorite accounts in scripture, and perhaps the most interesting part to me is the words, “must needs”.
Some say that he “needed” to go through Samaria simply because it was directly on the way from Judea to Galilee, and thus a faster trip. But history shows that the Jews’ preferred route was around Samaria by the way of the Jordan, and he actually stayed in Sychar for two days, so speed wasn’t the reason why.
Looking closer …

Following is an abbreviated list of a very thorough project conducted by Jason Dulle on the names of God and Jesus in the New Testament. The full article is posted on his blog, link at the end of this.

God is called “Father” 254 times, and “God” 1236 times (when one excludes references to “Son of God” and “kingdom of God,” otherwise 1352). “Father” and “Lord” combined are only used of God 425 times. The only author to use another term more than “God” is John. In His …

Some are always looking for a prophesy in their lives, but they’ve neglected prayer and Bible study. Don’t expect God to write in the sky for you if you won’t even read what He’s written in His Book.
