Suddenly, fear began to replace his faith. These were those who did not really love Jesus, the Truth. When accused of being a disciple of Jesus, he denied it. He wanted their endorsement more than that of Jesus. Then the cock crew.
We don’t really need the endorsement or affirmation of the world—the Christ rejectors, the celebrities, the politicians, or any others warming at their fire. We need only the smile of God. Fellowshipping false fire will encourage us to deny our allegiance to Christ.
