An eight-year legal battle ended with the return of the Ten Commandments to the courthouse in a Kentucky county last week. An overflow crowd at the county courthouse sang “Amazing Grace” and “God Bless America” to celebrate. The ceremony was less than a week after the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of appeals struck down a 2008 injunction by U.S. District Judge Joseph McKinley barring the Ten Commandments from public property on the grounds that its primary intent was religious.
